Simone Biles
Simone Arianne Biles (/sI’moUn ‘baI@lz14 March 1997, [4]) is an American gymnast who is artistic. Biles tied Shannon Miller for the number of Olympic medals she won in American gymnastics, and is currently the ninth highest. Biles is considered by many to be the best gymnast of all time, having won 25 World Championship medals. Joe Biden awarded Biles the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2022. Biles received gold medals at the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Summer Olympics. Biles also took home bronze medals in balance beam as well as floor, all-around, and vault. Biles was part of the United States team known as the "Final Five". But, Biles pulled out of most of the contest due to her difficulties with "the twisties" that is an intermittent loss of balance awareness in the air.
